Theo Walcott is back at Southampton whom he left as a teenager almost two decades ago. The England international came through the youth systems at the club before making his debut for the senior team. He moved to Premier League giants Arsenal in January 2006 and the Englishman was with the Gunners for twelve years until he sealed a £20m transfer to Everton.

The Toffees gave him a contract until this summer when he signed for the Merseyside club in January 2018. He started his Everton career in the starting XI and was relatively a regular until last season when Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti was named the Toffees manager.

His playing time at Everton diminished with the appointment of Ancelotti and that prompted him to return to Southampton on loan at the start of this season.

Everton sent him on loan to the Saints for the final year of his contract at the club and he would be a free agent at the end of this season. Recent reports claimed that Southampton are prepared to sign Theo Walcott on a permanent deal this summer and they are likely to offer him two or three years.

Theo Walcott has two goals and three assists for the Saints this season including his goal against Arsenal in the Premier League at the end of last year on his return to the Emirates Stadium.

He was a regular in the Southampton XI this season until he missed nine games as a result of a hamstring injury. Walcott made his return from the injury last month during the FA Cup semi-final clash with Leicester City as a second half substitute.
