Former Arsenal striker believes that the Gunners can win the title this season. He said that all the big teams have new managers and that they will need some time to adjust to life in the Premier League.
He believes that Arsene Wenger already has a team in place, and he is in a better position to win the title this term.
Thierry Henry said that he does not have any hard feelings towards Arsenal after the manager refused to let him take charge of the youth team while working as a pundit. He said that he was not an employee of Arsenal and that he was allowed to coach the kids as part of his coaching badges training. He stated that he is not disappointed with the team and that he will always love Arsenal. It is for this reason that he will be supporting Arsenal this season and hope that they can win the title.
Thierry Henry said that he has massive respect for Arsene Wenger as for the other managers in general. He stated that they are not doing an easy job and that they deserve to be praise for what they have achieved. As he gets accustomed to the manager’s role, he is discovering that it is not an easy thing to do. For most fans, a manager is just someone who chooses the team and the tactics but in reality, it is more complex. He said that as a manager you need to handle the media, ego problems, sponsors and fans reactions. With the advent of social media, it is very easy for fans to make their voice heard and this can cause a lot of issues for managers.
Thierry Henry said that he still has hopes to return to Arsenal as a manager when he completes his coaching badges and gains sufficient experience.
